Creamed potatoes with leeks or savoy cabbage

Serves 8 – 10 as a side dish:

  • 2.5 kg Grocholl Potato cubes mini
  • 4 large leeks or 2 small savoy cabbages
  • 600 g single cream
  • 400 ml full fat milk
  • approx. 300 g processed cheese
  • 3 garlic gloves, chopped
  • freshly ground pepper, salt
  • nutmeg
  • oil with butter flavour


Fry the potatoes in a little oil for about 8 minutes and season with salt and pepper. In the meantime, cut the leeks into thin slices or chop the saviy cabbage, add to the potatoes and sauté for approx. 5 minutes. Mix milk, cream, nutmeg, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and simmer for approx. 5 minutes at low heat. Add the cheese and stir to let it melt. Season with the spices and add a little milk if required.
